PRIVACY POLICY AND CANCELLATION POLICY
Blue Front is committed to ensuring the protection of its customers’ privacy and transparency in the processing of their personal data, as well as clearly communicating the conditions for activity cancellations.
This page describes how personal data is processed and the rules that apply to cancellations and rescheduling.

PERSONAL DATA COLLECTED
Blue Front collects only the data voluntarily provided directly by customers through the contact form on the website or during the booking process through the external platform FareHarbor.
The website form collects:
- Name
- Phone number
- Subject
- Additional message (optional)
PURPOSES OF DATA PROCESSING
Personal data is used exclusively for:
- Managing contact requests
- Responding to questions about boat tours, dolphin watching, fishing, and other services
- Managing bookings (when contact is made directly)
- Operational communications related to the activity
- Issuing invoices, when applicable
- Compliance with legal obligations
Blue Front does not use data for marketing, advertising, or sending newsletters, nor does it share data with third parties without authorization.
BOOKINGS AND EXTERNAL PLATFORM (FAREHARBOR)
Bookings and payments are managed through the FareHarbor platform, which has its own Terms of Use and Privacy Policy.
When the customer uses the booking system, the data provided is also processed by FareHarbor, under that entity’s responsibility.
DATA SHARING WITH THIRD PARTIES
Blue Front does not share personal data with third parties, except when strictly necessary for:
- Compliance with legal obligations
- Tax or accounting processes
- Responding to requests from competent authorities
We do not use Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, tracking systems, or other personal data analysis tools.
LEGAL BASIS FOR PROCESSING
Data is processed based on:
- The user’s consent when submitting the form
- Blue Front’s legitimate interest in managing contacts and bookings
- Legal obligation, when necessary for invoicing or mandatory records
DATA RETENTION PERIOD
- Contact data submitted via the form: up to 12 months, unless a legal obligation requires otherwise.
- Billing-related data: 10 years, as required by Portuguese tax law.
- Data processed by FareHarbor: according to the platform’s policy.
The customer may request the deletion of their data at any time, except where the law requires retention.
DATA SUBJECT RIGHTS
Under the GDPR, users have the right to:
- Access their data
- Rectification
- Erasure (“right to be forgotten”)
- Restriction of processing
- Data portability
- Object to processing

DATA SECURITY
Blue Front implements technical and organizational measures to protect data from loss, unauthorized access, or improper use, including:
- Encrypted connection (HTTPS)
- Access control to the website’s admin panel
- Monitoring and protection of communications
CANCELLATION POLICY – CANCELLATIONS BY BLUE FRONT
Blue Front may cancel tours with less than 24 hours’ notice due to:
- Adverse sea conditions
- Weather conditions
- Safety reasons
- In these cases, the customer may choose between:
- Full refund (100%), or
- Rescheduling the activity to an available date
CANCELLATIONS BY THE CUSTOMER
- Cancellations made up to 48 hours before the scheduled time → Full refund (100%)
- Cancellations made with less than 48 hours’ notice → No refund
- Significant delays or failure to appear (“no-show”) → No refund
Rescheduling may be requested subject to availability.
POLICY CHANGES
Blue Front reserves the right to update this policy whenever necessary. The latest version will always be available on the website.
